Marinated and Grilled Onions

Printable Version

Prep. Time: 10 min. to prepare and then marinate overnight

Cook Time: Grill or broil approximately 10 minutes

Makes 8 servings.

4 large Spanish or Vidalia onions
1/3 cup of soy sauce
3 tablespoons Sorrell Ridge Apricot
1 teaspoon minced garlic

Mix the soy sauce, Sorrell Ridge and garlic together to create your marinade. Now peel and cut your onions into thick slices about one inch thick. Arrange the onion slices in a large shallow baking dish and sprinkle with all the marinade.

Cover the dish and allow onions to marinate for several hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator. Turn the onions several times to make sure both sides absorb the marinade.

When ready, grill or broil until brown on both sides - approximately 10 minutes. This makes an excellent side dish for most grilled or broiled meats.
