Prep. Time: 20 mins.

Cook Time: 65 mins.

Preheat oven: 325 degrees

Makes 8 servings.

2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1-10 oz. jar Sorrell Ridge Peach or Marmalade or Cranberry
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine (Room temperature)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup dark raisins
1 medium apple peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1. Grease and line the bottom of a standard 8" x 4" loaf pan with wax paper. Use margarine to grease the pan.

2. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and spices in a large bowl. Add the margarine, Sorrell Ridge and eggs and mix by hand to form a dough. Now add the apples, walnuts and raisins and with your fingers work the fruit and nuts into the dough.

3. Turn the dough into the pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for extra appeal if you so desire.

4. Now bake your teabread on the bottom rack for 50 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake about 10 to 15 minutes more until a knife inserted in the middle of the bread pulls out clean. Turn out and cool on a rack.

5. The teabread is delicious served with cream cheese and of course the Sorrell Ridge of your choice.
